What a winding up petition is

A winding up petition is an application asking the court to order that a company be wound up. If an order is made, the company's affairs are brought to an end under the court's supervision, usually by an appointed liquidator who collects its assets and deals with the claims of its creditors.

Filing a petition starts a court process. It is not a decision. The court has made no determination. At a hearing the court can make a range of orders, including dismissing or adjourning a petition.

Who this concerns

This petition concerns AIX Secure SPV Ltd specifically. Investors in AIX products may not all hold contracts with the same entity, so check your own documents to see which entity issued your product or is named as your counterparty. If your documents name a different entity, this petition may not concern your investment directly.

Whether an investor is a creditor of AIX Secure SPV Ltd can also depend on how the investment is held, for example directly or through an intermediary. Our guide on what to do if your payments have stopped explains what to look for in your contract.

Read this before you do anything

Court processes like this one attract impostors. Protect yourself:

  • Harneys says there is no charge. Anyone asking you for a fee, a “recovery payment”, crypto or card details to join the petition, or to “speed up” your claim, is not following the process Harneys has described. Do not pay, and check directly with Harneys
  • Before you type anything into the form, check the address bar starts exactly with https://harneys.neotalogic.com/. Do not use form links forwarded to you by anyone else, including in groups, chats, or copies of this page
  • Never share your AIX dashboard password, one-time codes, or bank login details with anyone, for any reason
  • If anyone contacts you claiming to be a liquidator, Harneys, or a recovery agent, check independently. Do not reply to them; look up official contact details yourself
  • The petition proposes liquidators from Kroll. Anyone claiming to act as a liquidator should be verified through the official website of the firm they name, never through contact details they give you
  • We will never contact you first about the petition, and we will never ask you for details, documents or money for it. Anyone who does, in our name, is not us

Providing details to Harneys, if you choose to

Harneys has encouraged investors who are owed money by AIX Secure SPV Ltd to support the petition by providing details of their debt to Harneys, as Cayman counsel in relation to the petition.

According to Harneys:

  • There is no charge to provide information through this process
  • Providing details does not commit an investor to participating further in the winding up proceedings, or to incurring any costs in connection with them
  • Investors' information will be treated confidentially and used for the petition and in accordance with the Harney Group Privacy Notice

Harneys has not stated a deadline for providing details.

Use the form button at the top of this page to open Harneys' form.

Providing details now is separate from any formal claims process. If a winding up order were made, any liquidator appointed would set out its own process.

In the press

The petition was reported on 28 September 2026 by Global Restructuring Review, a specialist legal publication. Read the report on its website (opens in a new tab) (subscription required).

According to that report, AIX Secure SPV issued a statement on 26 September 2026 saying that the majority of AIX's products have not been affected, that its management remains in place, and that it has appointed international law firms and financial and restructuring advisers.

We do not reproduce press articles on this site. Press reports of a petition describe the petitioner's claims, which the court has not yet considered.

Your own decision

Whether to provide details is your own decision, and it depends on your own contract and circumstances. If you are unsure, consider taking independent legal advice. Our finding a lawyer page is a starting point.
